Who We Are

TRP is a collaborative partnership of local faith communities, resettlement support service providers, volunteers, non-profits, and local community leaders that exists to aid forcibly displaced people to begin a new life in the Newburyport, MA, area and achieve self-sufficiency by providing ongoing support services and long-term housing pathways.

What We Do

We work collaboratively and effectively for the resettlement of forcibly displaced persons through local community organizing in relationship with resettlement partners to create pathways and systemic change for successful resettlement through creative long-term housing solutions.

How You Can Join Us

The most effective and direct way to support TRP’s work is through donation—whether you’re an individual, business, or grant-making body, funds donated go directly to creating refugee housing as we are a volunteer organization. There are also many ways to volunteer and personally support refugees in our area if you are local. And if you are a refugee support services provider or resettlement agency, we want to hear from you, learn from one another, and work together in whatever way we can.

“This community is unique, and it sets an example of how newcomers should be greeted and welcomed in the US. I strongly believe that the [work of TRP in the] Newburyport community is like no other in the country, and it will soon be famous for its outstanding spirit and dedication to helping new arrivals feel at home.”
